A smarter home. A better everyday.

Six years after launching Domotic, we’re excited to see Apple put the home at the centre of its next chapter. We’ve been helping Australians build Apple smart homes since 2020, and we’re ready to help you make the most of what comes next - with a wide range of compatible accessories, practical automation and personal advice, all in one place.

Apple has announced HomeView, HomePod mini 2, a new Apple TV 4K and Apple Home Collection. Here’s what is coming to Australia, how your existing accessories fit, and where to start.

A shared screen for the whole household.

HomeView brings compatible home controls to a shared 7-inch screen. Use touch or Siri to adjust accessories, run scenes and check supported camera feeds. It also brings music, FaceTime, Intercom and household information together, with personalised experiences for up to six people.

The connection is Apple Home: add compatible accessories to your home, give them useful room and device names, and access the controls they expose from your Apple devices. HomeView adds a shared control point for the household.

Domotic tech tip: Name devices for the way you speak - such as living room lights or front garden - so the controls are easy for everyone to recognise.

Two familiar devices, with new possibilities.

HomePod mini 2 adds updated sound, new colours and support for Siri AI. It remains a voice-controlled home hub for compatible accessories and routines. The new Siri AI features arrive through a later software update, so they should not be confused with what is available on launch day.

The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K adds hands-free Siri through built-in microphones, a more findable remote and four-speaker surround sound with supported HomePod speakers. It also continues to act as a home hub.

Apple says Siri AI is supported on Apple TV 4K second generation and later, subject to software and device requirements. Before replacing an existing box, check which features your model can gain through an update.

What’s coming to Australia?

HomePod mini 2: A$229 including GST; available 30 October 2026.

HomeView: A$449 including GST for either tabletop or wall-mounted models; available 13 November 2026. Wall mounts are separate accessories.

Apple TV 4K, fourth generation: A$449 including GST; available 13 November 2026.

Apple lists pre-orders as open for these devices.

The accessory collection is a different story.

Apple Home Collection brings together LG cameras, a video doorbell and smart deadbolt, plus Schneider Electric climate accessories. The collection is designed for setup and management through Apple Home, without a separate manufacturer app or account.

The doorbell has separate visitor and package views. The lock offers UWB hands-free entry with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch.

These are features of those specific accessories, rather than capabilities every existing doorbell or lock automatically gains.

Australia is not included in the announced launch markets. Releases begin in December, with selected accessories following in early 2027. Australian homes will need locally available, suitable alternatives.

Start with what you already have.

Already using HomeKit-certified accessories? You’re starting from a strong foundation. HomeView supports Works with Apple Home and Matter accessories, so this is an opportunity to build on your setup. Domotic will continue to offer this range and help you choose what fits. Individual features still depend on the model, firmware and Apple Home setup.

New camera descriptions and search features require compatible cameras, an eligible iCloud+ plan and setup using an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad. Personal-context Siri features also have paired-device requirements. We’ll help you check the exact combination before choosing an upgrade.

Domotic tech tip: Start with one moment you want to make easier. Build a useful routine first, then add to it as your household needs change.

How Domotic accessories fit with HomeView.

Lighting: compatible Nanoleaf Matter bulbs appear in Apple Home. Use touch or Siri for supported light controls such as switching, dimming and colour. With Adaptive Lighting enabled on supported bulbs, evening tones become warmer.

Cooling: Sensibo Air brings a compatible infrared-controlled air conditioner into Apple Home. Its core Home controls include on/off, mode and temperature; advanced settings remain in the Sensibo app.

Garden care: Yardian Pro with standard HomeKit-enabled firmware exposes irrigation zones to Apple Home. Its documented Siri controls include starting and stopping named zones. This is the Apple Home connection we would check when planning a HomeView setup.

Whole-home routines: combine compatible accessories in scenes, or use configured automations for moments such as sunset and leaving home. A new shared screen makes controls easier to reach; the accessories carry out the actions.

Camera monitoring: HomeView can show compatible live feeds. Advanced video descriptions have additional camera, device and iCloud+ requirements. We’ll verify the exact camera before promising those features.

These examples explain the Apple Home integrations documented by Apple and the manufacturers. Exact HomeView behaviour, firmware and accessory requirements should be checked for your setup.

Three useful routines to explore today.

Garden care by voice. Once Yardian Pro is added to Apple Home, ask Siri to start a named watering zone from your iPhone or Apple Watch.

Cooling that stops when everyone leaves. Set an Apple Home automation with Sensibo Air to turn off a compatible air conditioner, so you’re not cooling an empty home.

Lighting ready for the evening. Set supported Nanoleaf bulbs to turn on at sunset. With Apple Adaptive Lighting enabled, their colour temperature adjusts towards warmer evening tones as you wind down.

These are existing Apple Home routines to explore with a suitable setup, rather than promises that require the newly announced hardware.
