Philips Hue White and Colour Candle Smart Bulb – E14 – V3
Specifications: B39 candle shape, E14 small screw fitting; 117 mm high × 39 mm diameter. White polycarbonate body, 0.04 kg net weight. Rated 3.7 W; 220–240 V; up to 500 lumens at 4000 K; 1000–20000 K white light plus colour; IP20. Nominal lifetime 25,000 hours; CRI 80.
Fitting and limitations: Check the E14 fitting and available clearance. Isolate mains power before fitting, then keep power on for wireless control. Use Hue dimming instead of a conventional wall dimmer. Bluetooth provides nearby Hue app control; Bluetooth alone does not provide Apple Home integration.
Apple Home through a Hue Bridge: A compatible Hue Bridge or Bridge Pro with current firmware connects supported lights to Apple Home. Use HomeKit or Matter as supported by the Bridge; Bridge sold separately. Local control uses your home network. With an iPhone running iOS 18 or later, supported Matter accessories can be added to and controlled in Apple Home without an Apple home hub. Apple Home automations and remote access require a compatible Apple home hub; remote access also requires internet.
Hue app: Hue app remote access requires a Hue account and internet. Hue scenes and entertainment features are configured separately in the Hue app. Apple Home Key does not apply.
Direct Matter over Thread: Philips lists this model as supporting Matter through a compatible third-party hub with a Thread border router. For Apple Home, use a compatible Thread-enabled Apple home hub and current bulb firmware. Apple Home automations and remote access require an Apple home hub; remote access also requires internet. A Hue Bridge provides an alternative connection method and enables additional Hue features.
