Use a TV-mounted camera to synchronise compatible Hue colour lights with on-screen content, including native TV apps and broadcasts.
Philips Hue Play Screen Sync – Black
Black plastic construction.
Specifications: Overall length 180.4 mm × width 139.6 mm; adjustable height 45.5–68.2 mm. 2 m cable; rated power 1.5 W. Supplied power adapter connects to 100–240 V mains; manual specifies 5 V DC, 5 W power supply. IP20, Class III; dry indoor use at 0–40 °C. No HDMI inputs or video output. Hue app: iOS 17 or later, Android 12 or later.
Setup and limitations: Requires a separate Hue Bridge or Bridge Pro and compatible Hue colour lights. Position the device centrally at the top of the TV so its fisheye camera can see the screen; follow the manual for mounting, power and calibration in the Hue app. Keep firmware updated. Screen capture depends on camera positioning, the display and surrounding light. It does not add video output or HDMI switching.
Apple compatibility: Screen Sync is a Hue entertainment accessory; its camera and synchronisation controls are not independent HomeKit or Matter controls. Supported lights can connect to Apple Home through the separate Hue Bridge. Local Apple Home light control uses the home network; Hue entertainment setup uses the Hue app. Apple Home remote access and automations require a compatible Apple home hub; remote access also requires internet. Apple Home Key does not apply.
