Place horizontally or vertically using the supplied mount, or attach to the rear of a compatible TV with the supplied adhesive mount. Use the dedicated Play power supply; it supports up to three Play bars. TV synchronisation requires a Hue Bridge plus a compatible Hue HDMI sync box, Play Screen Sync camera or supported Hue Sync TV app, purchased separately. These entertainment controls are configured in the Hue app; Apple Home lighting control does not itself provide TV synchronisation. This is the base kit, not an extension; it has no onboard control buttons.
A Hue Bridge or Bridge Pro, sold separately, connects this Zigbee product to Apple Home through HomeKit or Matter. Keep the Hue system firmware updated and configure the Apple Home connection in the Hue app. Local control uses your home network. With an iPhone running iOS 18 or later, supported Matter accessories can be added to and controlled in Apple Home without an Apple home hub. Apple Home remote access and home automations require a compatible Apple home hub; remote access also requires internet. Hue app remote access is configured separately and requires an internet connection and Hue account. Hue scenes and entertainment features are configured in the Hue app.
Each light bar measures 253 × 44 × 36 mm and has a 2 m cable.
