Installation and limitations: Installation must be completed by a licensed electrician. Follow the mounting and power-supply placement instructions, respecting the separate IP ratings. Do not use a conventional wall dimmer. Bluetooth provides nearby Hue app control, separate from Apple Home integration.
Apple Home through a Hue Bridge: A compatible Hue Bridge or Bridge Pro with current firmware connects supported lights to Apple Home. Use HomeKit or Matter as supported by the Bridge; Bridge sold separately. Local control uses your home network. With an iPhone running iOS 18 or later, supported Matter accessories can be added to and controlled in Apple Home without an Apple home hub. Apple Home automations and remote access require a compatible Apple home hub; remote access also requires internet.
Hue app: Hue app remote access requires a Hue account and internet. Hue scenes and entertainment features are configured separately in the Hue app. Apple Home Key does not apply.
