Installation and limitations: A compatible low-voltage power supply is required and excluded. Connect to a compatible existing outdoor low-voltage Hue system using a T connector, sold separately, or add a suitable power supply. Follow the manufacturer mounting and total connected-load instructions; disconnect power before making connections. Keep mains equipment appropriately protected. The manufacturer lists this configuration as requiring a Hue Bridge.
Apple Home through a Hue Bridge: A compatible Hue Bridge or Bridge Pro with current firmware connects supported lights to Apple Home. Use HomeKit or Matter as supported by the Bridge; Bridge sold separately. Local control uses your home network. With an iPhone running iOS 18 or later, supported Matter accessories can be added to and controlled in Apple Home without an Apple home hub. Apple Home automations and remote access require a compatible Apple home hub; remote access also requires internet.
Hue app: Hue app remote access requires a Hue account and internet. Hue scenes and entertainment features are configured separately in the Hue app. Apple Home Key does not apply.
