Apple Home remote access: Apple Home remote access requires a compatible Apple home hub and internet connection. With an iPhone running iOS 18 or later, supported Matter accessories can be added to and controlled in Apple Home without an Apple home hub. Apple Home remote access and home automations require a compatible Apple home hub; remote access also requires internet.
Hue app remote access: Hue app remote access is configured separately with a Hue account and internet connection.
